A Special Day

Dear Mama,

Today is your birthday, and I wanted to give you this poem  to tell you I love you. I feel like this only gives you a pinch to show how much you care and love for me because you are working constantly and you are always making sure I am: fed, clean and so much more that if I list them all it will be 10:00 at night.

Motherly Love

You love me when it's cold inside,
You love me when it's warm,
You care for me all day and night,
And treat me with your love.

You help me when I need you most,
You're always there for me,
You stick around to help me out,
And teach me lovely things.

But as we've grown from bright young ones
To tall grown teenagers,
We realize how you've cared for us,
With all your mother love.

So many others may forget
How much you mean to me.
But why would one who's loved by you
Forget your wondrous care?

And so I wanted you to know
How much you mean to us
And that I'll never once forget
How much you care for me.

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness
Proverbs 31:16-27

You are such a wonderful person Mama, and I love you very much. This poem I wrote came to me two nights ago and I didn't want to forget it. I was thinking about your birthday and how it has come so fast and soon when the words just popped into my head. I wrote them down as fast as I could hoping not to forget a thing, but when I did forget, the words came right back and never went away until I wrote them down. And now when I think about it I feel the Lord was telling me to write it. I had a big lump in my throat and I couldn't go to sleep. I love you very much and wish you a very happy birthday. I will try to make it as special as I can. I love you!
~Emma

PS. One day I wish to work as hard as you do, be like you and love like you.

Hal's Birthday

A couple of days ago was Hal's 7th birthday! It was his first time getting day presents. Day presents are an old tradition of our family. You would get small presents for however old you are turning every day before your birthday. A couple of years after Mama and Daddy got married, Daddy came up with the idea, and its been going on ever since. But when Dolly turned 7 they chose to give her day presents and give everyone else day presents when they turned 7. Now its Hals turn! Here are some picture sfrom Hal's birthday including his presents, (and one of his day presents).

the birthday boy

his treat bag

one of his card games

the best Lego set in the world (for him)

his noble sword (it's wood) and one his last day present

a paw-patrol coloring book from Ricka

the insect gadget from Loulou

a bocce game  from Bruno

a level from QB

the hammer from Butler\

a paw-patrol fun pack from me

and a Lego set from Grandma & Grandpa

For Hal's birthday dinner he chose pho-ho, (Much to Bruno's' likeness) and for the cake he wanted a train. Mama took a mini loaf pan and used it like a cake pan for the train cars. For the engine she did who knows what to make it look so perfect that you don't want to ruin it by eating it. Cut? Chop? Slice? Pressure? I have no idea, but I know someone who will remember exactly what she did. Even though I was watching her I still can't remember anything she did. Except for maybe her baking the cake? Maybe a few more pictures will help...

 Hal's pho-ho dinner

baking in the kitchen

making the icing

sorting the candy

the train cars...

the engine in construction

half of the train

now the icing!

 almost done!

finished at last!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAL!

My First Post

Hi everyone! Most of you have probably seen my mom's blog at moments and musings @csanyi.ca, and my sister's blog at memories.csanyi.ca.  I'm sure there are going to be a few things that you've probably heard of, but I wanted you to be able  to see whats happening around me from my point of view. I live in a family with eight siblings and I'm the third oldest. Maybe I should introduce you to my family...

Dolly (age 15)

 BroNo.1 (age 13) (aka Bruno)

Me (age 12)

Farmer Boy (age 10)

Ricka (age 8)

Hal (age 7)

QB (Quarter Back) (age 5)

Loulou (age 3)

Pixie (age 5 months old)

I did change quite a few of the names from the blogs Dolly and Mama wrote, because some of the kids didn't like what they were being called. That finishes up my first post! It's almost dinnertime so I need to put this away and help out. I'll write again soon!
